Advanced Lock Service    Job Title: Automotive Locksmith III $15.50 - $25.00 hourly / 32,240.00 – $52,000.00 annual Reports to: Shift Manager Function: Under minimal supervision, perform advanced journeyman automotive locksmith work including but not limited to: Unlocking, maintaining, repairing, removal and replacement of automotive locking systems, originating, duplicating and programming automotive and keys. Duties: Install, maintain, adjust and repair items particular to, and normally associated with the trade of automotive locksmithing. Unlock all makes of automotive doors, ignitions, trunks, hatches, compartments and automotive related accessories such as fuel caps, filler doors, wheel locks, clubs, etc. Originate keys by use of industry related equipment and methods, including but not limited to: sight reading, impressioning, lock reading tools or any other means deemed effective to originate keys. Duplicate original keys by use of standard, industry related equipment. Meet or exceed ETAs and PTAs to service calls. Develop and maintain a sense of urgency relating to your duties. Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions related to equipment, work methods and locking systems.  Promote a safe working environment by following Advanced Lock Service safety policies and procedures, recognized industry standards, practices and guidelines, OSHA regulations as well as codes and regulations as outlined by ADOT. Fill out paperwork and records including but not limited to jump sheets, disembarking sheets, invoices, and service call information. Plan work to ensure cost effective use of labor and materials. Team with other employees to enhance or increase work performance and customer service and satisfaction as required. Maintain an acceptable attendance record, adhere to posted shift schedule, be punctual and meet deadlines as required and Inform supervisor of any unscheduled leave time in a timely manner. Work extended shifts if required. Perform duties and responsibilities with a view toward company goals and in support of employee, management, company and client missions. Perform various side work duties as designated by management. Perform additional types of locksmith services to include residential or commercial lock servicing, as required. Establish and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with employees, management and clients. Maintain proficiency at current level and continually update knowledge and skills through appropriate courses, seminars, publications and contact with others in the trade. Participate in training sessions and seminars. Practice and hone your job related skills and assist others within the company to learn more about their trade. Participate in Night Call Shift rotation as required. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. 3.5  + years experience as a locksmith with a strong background in Automotive Locksmithing including originating keys by impression, code cutting and sight reading. Ability to originate keys to most makes of automotive locks in under an hour. Must be well versed in programming transponder keys and troubleshooting programming malfunctions. Particularly with the SDD and Tcode. Have a working knowledge of and be able to service and originate keys to High Security automotive locks. Ability to demonstrate skill in the use of hand tools, power tools and other tools related to the trade and have the ability to read and interpret industry related service manuals. Well versed in using, servicing and maintaining and calibrating the HPC 1200CMB, Framon #2 and Framon #2D code cutting machines. Demonstrate proficiency in broken key extraction. Demonstrate proficiency in R&R of various types of automotive ignitions and door locks to include Nissan, Ford Focus, Chrysletr 8 cut, GM 6 cut columns with MATS, VATS and AIRBAG and Tilt / Telescopic columns, GM 6 cut glove box (all models) in under an hour. Pass oral and / or written test on industry related subject matter. Ability to pick GM 10 cut ignitions. Ability to unlock BMWs and Lexus doors and trunks. Ability to effectively work individually or in teams as well as with diverse groups of people; to interact with employees, management, administration, clients, and peers in a positive and helpful manner.  Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities; to follow through and carry out assignments; to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English; and to follow both written and verbal directions in English. Ability to observe and practice safe working habits and to maintain security of buildings, job sites, clients property, the shop, parking lot, work vehicles and equipment. Must be in good physical condition and able to perform heavy duty work requiring physical exertion. Must be able to bend, crawl, reach, kneel and sit. Must be able to lift 60 pounds and to enter, reach and move through limited access spaces. Must hold a current Arizona Driver License with a clean MVR. No DUIs within 7 years, no more than two civil or one criminal moving violation in the last 3 years. No major traffic accidents in the last three years where you were found to be at fault. Must be insurable. Must provide all tools and industry related publications that are required for your job title as outlined by Advanced Lock Service, keep your tools updated to accommodate for the constant industry changes.
